The first Hague Cultural Summit was organized by the Haags Cultuuroverleg on 12 May in the Helena. You can read the full report of this summit (Recipe for the Future) via the link below. Below are some points from this report that are aimed at creating more space for art in the city in the future.

• Provide more physical space in the city for makers, including breeding grounds.
• Give more ownership to the arts sector.
• Think more freely and let go, so that more can emerge organically. There are so many good ideas, but they are often crushed by rules and barricades that makers encounter.
• Make room for experiment and research, without performance pressure. Failure is allowed.
