Haagse Broedplaatsen Network has now officially been established as an association!
On 16 June, we held our first official General Assembly (ALV), organized by the HB core working group. It was wonderful to meet so many of you and to see such a wide range of initiatives represented! ❤️
This meeting marked an important milestone, bringing together initiatives, artists, and makers for key updates, discussions, and future plans. Ayşe and Lilian presented an overview of the process of becoming an official association and explained the internal and governance structure together with our shared mission & vision. They also shared the plans for setting up our funds and working groups and the next steps for our communication channels.
Jacob presented the benefits of membership and explained how representation and voting at the General Assembly (ALV) works. Katarina then introduced the working groups and their coordinators, starting a joint session, where participants shared their ideas for new topics and issues for the working groups. The input collected will be further developed by the core group in July.
Frits then gave a brief update on Buro Broedplaatsen, which acts as an independent organization connecting the cultural sector, housing corporations, and real estate stakeholders, and we also met our new Haagse Broedplaatsmakelaar.
The meeting was officially closed by Alexandra Landré on behalf of Stroom, who congratulated us on the official establishment of the association. To mark this milestone, Stroom generously treated all attendees to a glass of champagne. Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating this special moment!
